SUGGESTED CAMPER PACKING LIST FOR CHRISTIAN FAMILY CAMP
Bed…
Bed frames with thin plastic mattresses provided.
You should bring:
Sheets - twin size; one set per person
Pillows
Blankets and/or sleeping bags
Optional: mattress covers
Bath…
Restrooms are shared by campers. Each unit has a bath/shower house.
3 toilet stalls and 3 shower stalls and about 4 sinks.
You should bring:
Hand towel, bath towel, washcloths, beach towel
Toiletries—toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, shaving cream, razors, contact stuff, lotion, etc.
Sunscreen
And Beyond…
Cabins have electricity! Meals are provided. Bugs and rodents of various shapes and sizes are part of the package deal.
You should bring:
Bug spray
Fans, extension cords, power strips
Flashlight/headlamps/batteries
Camping chair 🡨important!
Water bottle and coffee cup
Cooler(s) (no ice on site this year, there is ice no far in town, if you happen to have a plug in cooler-bring it)
Medications
Personal snacks & beverages
Optional: A bicycle, hat, bug box, lanterns, picnic blanket, musical instrument(s), sports equipment, board games/playing cards, clothesline, a strand of x-mas lights for the cabin
Swimming
No pool this year. Swimming is available at Lincoln Lake and splashing/wading in Sugar Creek.
You should bring:
swimsuit(s) - water is great, but a bit murky.
puddle jumpers for little ones
water shoes
an extra chair you don’t mind getting wet to sit in the creek
Lake is very sunny so maybe a sun hat and sunscreen
Apparel
Prepare for hot weather with cool nights and messy camp days!
On Friday evening, we have an adult + staff-only party where we dress up a little
(like a light summer dress or a collared shirt).
You should bring:
7-8 comfortable “play clothes” outfits
Light jacket, jeans, long-sleeve shirt (not uncommon to have a chilly night or two)
Sturdy shoes, sandals
